Job Summary:
KiwiCo is looking for an exceptional Visual Designer who is extremely passionate about creating impeccable, brand-aligned visuals that are designed with care down to every last pixel while acting quickly against the day-to-day execution. This is a digital design role that will mainly focus on marketing and web, with a heavy emphasis on being able to execute on the KiwiCo brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working closely with the Marketing team to create beautiful on-brand marketing assets for digital formats (emails, ads, social posts) and also some print formats (direct mailers, catalogs).
- Being able to carry a project through the entire design process: from concept, to creating rapid design mockups, to iterating and incorporating feedback, to polishing the final details, to adding interaction and animation (when necessary), to exporting final assets.
- Assessing creative briefs and translating them into compelling designs that achieve the project goals. Designs should balance the needs of our users, our design aesthetic, and the objectives of the business.
- Confidently presenting design ideas and recommendations to the team and stakeholders. Explain how project objectives are being met through the designs, and provide suggestions on ways to tweak creatives to better address the goals when needed.
- Growing a deep understanding of brand photography and illustrations to be able to choose – or create – the appropriate assets for each project.
- Gaining a complete knowledge of the KiwiCo look-and-feel to ultimately become our brand visual champion.
