NATIONAL OFFICERS

Vice President

Want to be a leader for CMA, liaising with stakeholders and managing key national initiatives? Apply for the role of national Vice President. 

The Vice President supports the President in establishing and achieving goals for the national organization and leading key initiatives. The Vice President works closely with the President to prioritize the activities of the national team and escalate urgent matters. In the absence of the President, the Vice President performs the duties of the President. Working collaboratively with the administrative team, the Vice President plays an integral role as a Board Officer and serves as an ambassador for CMA, attending events, listening to feedback, meeting prospective and current members, and recruiting volunteers.

Secretary

Do you like keeping everyone on track? Apply for the role of national Secretary. 

The Secretary supports the President with CMA’s operations: organizing the national Board and Officer meetings, overseeing file and communication systems, managing volunteer-onboarding processes, facilitating polls, and planning national officer retreats. Working collaboratively with the administrative team, the Secretary plays an integral role as a Board Officer, and is encouraged to attend events, meet prospective and current members, and recruit volunteers.

Treasurer

Do you have strong financial skills and want to be a part of the CMA’s growth? Apply for the role of national Treasurer. 

The Treasurer works closely with stakeholders to establish and achieve financial goals: developing the annual budget, preparing taxes and financial reports, overseeing financial transactions and maintaining full and accurate records. Working collaboratively with the administrative team, the Treasurer plays an integral role as a Board Officer, and is encouraged to attend events, meet prospective and current members, and recruit volunteers.

Director of Marketing & Communications

Do you think strategically about how to grow audiences on social media platforms and engage readers through emails? Do you enjoy sharing impactful ideas, compelling calls to action, and inspiring stories? Apply for the role of national Director of Marketing & Communications. 

The Director of Marketing & Communications spearheads CMA’s promotion and marketing strategies, oversees the national editorial calendar, and manages a team that produces content for inbound and outbound marketing activities. Working collaboratively with the directors of Digital, Membership, Development, and Events, the Director of Marketing & Communication plays an integral role as a Board Officer to grow CMA’s reach and maintain CMA’s brand identity across all platforms and communications.

Director of Events

Do you enjoy planning live and digital experiences that connect and inspire attendees? Apply for the role of national Director of Events. 

The Director of Events spearheads the development, planning, and execution of strategic national events that connect members across the country. Working collaboratively with the directors of Digital, Membership, Development, and Marketing & Communications, the Director of Events plays an integral role as a Board Officer to develop and maintain relationships with innovative industry partners and venues across a wide breadth of children’s media verticals in order to produce national events within scope, schedule, and budget.

NY Chapter President

With over three hundred members and over twenty events a year, CMA New York is on an exciting path of expansion and innovation—and needs your leadership! We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for inspiring our thriving community! The NYC President plays an integral role as a Board Officer, supervising the general affairs of the chapter and working closely with the national team and Board of Directors to set and meet organizational goals. Serving as the face of the chapter, the President maintains and leads the development of new partnerships and internal chapter infrastructure.

NY VP

Seeking an organizational whiz! The Vice President will support the New York President as needed in all organizational matters, focusing mainly on operations and achieving chapter-wide goals. The VP will project manage most CMA New York and departmental specific initiatives. The VP will run officers' meetings when the President is absent and is responsible for reporting back to the President on any urgent matters. The VP will attend events whenever possible to help support the event staff as well as speak to members and potential members about membership.

 


BAY AREA OFFICERS

LA Chapter President

The LA President plays an integral role as a Board Officer, supervising the general affairs of the chapter and working closely with the national team and Board of Directors to set and meet organizational goals. Serving as the face of the chapter, the President maintains and leads the development of new partnerships and internal chapter infrastructure.

LA VP

We are looking for a Vice President to support the LA President as needed in all organizational matters, focusing mainly on operations and achieving chapter-wide goals. Working collaboratively with the CMA LA administrative team, the VP assists the president in managing objectives, serves as an ambassador for the chapter, attending events, listening to feedback, meeting prospective and current members, and recruiting volunteers.

LA Treasurer

We are looking for a chapter Treasurer to partner with the LA President and national Treasurer and oversee the chapter budget. This entails preparing financial reports, overseeing financial transactions, updating the team on current financial standing and maintaining full and accurate records. 

LA Co-Director of Events

Do you enjoy planning live and digital experiences that connect and inspire attendees? We are looking for a Co-Director of Events to develop, plan, and work with volunteers to execute monthly chapter events that connect the awesome LA members. Working collaboratively with the LA leadership team, the Co-Director of Events develops and maintains relationships with innovative industry partners and venues across the children’s media industry, in order to produce chapter events within scope, schedule, and budget.
