David Sloan is a news producer and journalist in Washington, DC. For nearly a decade he has spent covering the news from around the world, including presidential elections to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently he is a producer for Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster. In the past he has worked for PBS NewsHour and The Christian Science Monitor, working as a reporter, producer, and cameraman.
Beyond his involvement in the world of news, David has always had a passion for children’s media and learning about the impact it has on childhood development. While still working in media, he wrote and independently published his own children’s book, called ‘Frank the Martian.’
David currently resides in the nation’s capital with his wife and two children.
