Breniel is a children’s media and technology researcher and the President of the CMA Bay Area chapter. Her work focuses on how children learn from media and emerging technologies across home and school settings. She is currently an education researcher at Menlo Education Research and holds a Ph.D. in Media, Technology, and Society from Northwestern University, where she was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow studying with Dr. Ellen Wartella. Breniel is passionate about connecting research and practice to support meaningful, equitable media experiences for children.
