Jumpstart your knowledge about the next areas of content development for kids: immersive experiences that blend real world environments with computer generated virtual objects and characters. A few years ago, Pokemon Go introduced millions of kids to augmented reality games. But what is on the horizon now? How are creative entrepreneurs mixing immersive technology, storytelling, and play to create the next media content for kids? Beyond just idea generation, these new media forms have implications for kids and families connected to privacy, data-collection, child development, and media literacy skill building.

Sherri serves as vice-chair of the UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Alliance (formerly GAPMIL) and regularly presents internationally on media literacy and children’s media topics. Sherri's publications include authoring a chapter in the latest edition of “20 Questions about Youth and the Media” and co-author of the "State of Media Literacy" report published by the National Association for Media Literacy Education. She is the producer and host of the popular podcast “Kids Talk Media”.

Yuting Su is a passionate entrepreneur, inventor, and storyteller with a background in digital & physical game design, experience design, and bioinformatics. A Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2017, she is the founder and CEO of Ed-Tech gaming startup Thinker-Tinker, the company behind Octobo, a patented character-based smart toy learning platform. The company develops unique hardware-software tech solutions that bring kids' favorite characters to life with an expandable content library. Thinker-Tinker was part of the Comcast Techstars accelerator and is now working with Universal Brand Development to create a new interactive experience.
